Let me introduce myself . . . My name is Kerry, and I am the Director of Internships for the Atlantic Conference of the Brethren in Christ Church.

Personal
I grew up in New England (Massachusetts and Maine), but upon high school graduation, I moved to the thriving metropolis of Grantham, PA to attend Messiah College (of course). Four years later, I graduated with a B.A. in English with a Writing Concentration and a minor in Family Studies. Along the way, I met and eventually fell in love with Bryan Hoke to whom I have now been married for going on 16 years. We have lived in Kentucky, Georgia, and Pennsylvania and have spent the majority of our married life in full-time ministry in local churches where Bryan has served as a pastor and I have served in various ministry areas, such as youth, young adults, and worship.
I am the proud mom of three beautiful daughters – ages 9, 12, and 14. In addition, Bryan and I are currently in the process of adopting through the foster system, so we aren’t exactly sure how that will change the make-up of our family in the future. I also must give air time to our dog, Maxie, who has been an integral part of the Hoke clan for almost 8 years now.
In my spare time, I enjoy running and training for races (although recent knee surgery has slowed me down some), reading, writing, cooking, and just hanging out with friends and family.
Professional
I have worked in a variety of roles up to this point in my life, some right in line with my English degree and some simply as a means of getting the bills paid. Editor, secretary, writing/English tutor, adult reading teacher, reporter, personal assistant, and high school English teacher are all hats I’ve worn over the course of my “career”.
I love working with people (particularly college students and young adults), getting to know them and helping them grow and develop personally and spiritually. It’s this passion that led me to this position, and I hope that the cross-section of the two can make an indelible impact in this world and in God’s kingdom.
